IUI IVF ICSI Treatment.jpeg

P4 Fertility in partnership with various Fertility Centres offers a range of fertility treatments including IUI, IVF and ICSI.

This service is bespoke. Every couple will have an in-depth consultation and plan for treatment. We offer personalised treatment plans to cater individual needs of each couple.

IUI (Intra-uterine Insemination or artificial insemination) is a type of fertility treatment. It’s commonly used by people who are using donated sperm in their treatment, including single women and female couples. It can also be used by some heterosexual couples. In IUI, better quality sperm are separated from sperm that are sluggish, non-moving or abnormally shaped. These sperm are then injected directly into the womb. Meeting of egg and sperm (fertilization) occurs naturally in IUI. The resultant embryo may get attached to the lining of the womb and successfully continues as pregnancy same way as it happens naturally.

IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) IVF is a type of fertility treatment where fertilisation takes place outside of the body. At P4 fertility, we personalise your IVF cycle based on P4 fertility principles. Key steps of IVF are 1. Injections given to the woman to stimulate her ovaries to make more eggs, 2 Eggs are collected by putting you to sleep, 3. Eggs are fertilized outside in the laboratory using your partner’s sperms 4. Embryos which are formed from the meeting of eggs and sperms are developed in high standard laboratory 5. A top-quality embryo is transferred in your womb, it has done like a smear test plus some additional steps. It does not require anesthesia. 6 you are given hormonal support and pregnancy test is advised in two weeks.

ICSI (Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm injection) is an advanced step in IVF. In ICSI a sperm is injected inside the egg using a microscopic needle. Please see the process at Link. ICSI is the treatment of choice for sperm problems. But it could be also used in some other indications. At P4 Fertility, we personalise the treatment based on your individual needs. We analyse whether IVF or ICSI is suitable for you. Sometimes we use a 50-50 approach where 50% of your eggs are allowed to fertilize with IVF and 50% of your eggs are used to perform ICSI. A delicate balance to achieve the best of both worlds!
