Consultant Gynaecologist & special interest in Reproductive Medicine

 

Dr. Amol Borkar is a specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology Surgery.

He has an extensive experience of 17 years in the field of gynaecology along with 6 years of infertility experience in a busy assisted conception unit at Homerton Hospital.

After graduating he completed his post-graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology obtaining MD (O&G) from a Government medical college in India. This was followed by 3 yrs of lecturer experience at a Medical college in India. He continued his further training in the UK in 2011 to achieve his MRCOG in 2012. He completed his consultant training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London.

He undertook research for a randomized control trial on a "Mock embryo transfer before first IVF cycle". He has a large number of publications and presentations at the National and International conferences.

He has vast experience in ultrasound scanning, including 3D scan, saline infusion sonography, HyCoSY, gynaecological, and early pregnancy scans, having been accredited by the RCOG and British Fertility Society for gynaecological and early pregnancy scans.

He is highly experienced in all aspects of reproductive medicine including endometriosis, reproductive endocrinology, management of polycystic ovaries, after IVF treatment, and recurrent implantation failure.
